There aren’t enough words to describe Dr Gary McKay’s virtuosity and professionalism in addressing colorectal conditions. In my case, he took prompt action as the problem was acute. My first appointment was at 11.30am and because of my extreme conditions, my surgery was complete by 3pm on the same day! I was procrastinating this surgery for years due to my consternation regarding post operative pain. But this gentleman assured me that the surgery gives instant relief and it did. I hardly had to have pain killers after fourth day of my surgery. I really admire his dexterity and minimally invasive methods. If you have any colorectal complaints, please visit this surgeon!

It’s hard not to say only good things about Dr McKay. One of the best surgeons if not doctors around. Most surgeons I have met look at my wallet post op but Dr McKay seems to be genuinely caring and not interested in ripping patients off, not to mention easy to get along with and makes patients feel relaxed

This Dr changed my life. I had fistulas and I went to 3 “specialists” who all said the same thing – which was to put a seton in and thats it- live with it.
They said plenty of people live with it- but having a seton is not living- its getting by.- I did the research- I had 3 years with it to do the research and found there was the lift procedure which cures it and makes me normal again. the first 3 “specialists” told me the lift procedure was not possible due to infection. I then proceeded to get a 4th opioniuon – enter Dr Gary McKay.
He said yes- not a problem. 1 month later I had the surgery and I was cured- no more seton not more problems I was normal again.
there are specialists and then there are specialists and Dr Mckay is the latter of the two. – if you have an issue “down stairs” go to dr Mckay first
I needed a Seton, but for about 6 months- I didn’t need it for 3 years and for the rest of my life like the other 3 “specialists” told me. Had I gone to Dr Mckay first- I would have saved myself 2.5 years of hell.
There are many Doctors out there, and each have a different opinion, Dr Gary Mckay made me normal again, when all others I spoke to would have me with multiple setons and wearing a nappy for the rest of my life.
This Guy gives a dam about you- he goes in and fixes the issue, and there is nothing I can do to tell him how much he has made my life better. there is nothing I can say or do to show him that my life is better. do yourself a favor – just talk to him. have 1 consultancy with him- trust me your life depends on it.
